First LaLiga game as captain for Soler
Carlos Soler had a career first in the LaLiga game against Sevilla, as he started a league match as captain for the first time. The midfielder skippered the side in the absence of José Luis Gayà and Jaume Domènech, who have both served as captains this season and who began the game on the bench.

At only 24 years of age, he is one of the youngest men ever to lead Valencia CF. It is a role that he assumed for brief instances in the Copa del Rey game against Terrassa FC, and was officially included amongst the captains (accompanying Gayà, Domènech and Gabriel Paulista) following his standout performance against Real Madrid earlier this season.

Soler has been captain for various teams at youth level in the VCF Academy, and is now an established member of the first team. His ever-increasing experience and maturity, as well as his technical skill, leadership qualities and passion for the club, make him an ideal choice for the role in the first team.
